What type of batteries do you buy?

We are battery buyers and purchase any battery type that can recover precious metals to give us an ability to pay you. An example of a battery type we buy are used silver oxide watch batteries (bulk) and silver oxide industrial use batteries.  Some rechargeable batteries in bulk allow us to compensate you. (Batteries with NO value but are just as important to recycle: Alkaline, Lithium, Zinc Air, Mercury, No name button batteries/imitations)

Can I sell scrap at your New York location?

Yes, by appointment only you can visit our commercial location in Brooklyn NY. We pay for bulk silver oxide batteries on the spot as long as they are only silver oxide watch batteries. No mixed batches will be accepted. Selling other precious metals? Contact Us

 

When will I be paid for my batteries?

As long as we receive a clean batch of silver oxide batteries then payment is issued the same day. If battery batches are mixed than 24 hours is needed to sort and evaluate. Payment issued via company check. Expedited payment methods are available. (Direct Deposit/Bank wire, PayPal)

 

Do I have to pay anything for shipping or recycling my watch batteries?

There is no cost to you at all and we provide a prepaid shipping label as long as a majority of your package is precious metals based. If you accumulated a large amount of zero value batteries then you will be responsible for a discounted freight cost since we handle the logistics and in some case a very small cost to recycle. What is the BATTERY RECYCLING MADE EASY program?

The BRME program was developed by MCT for recycling rechargeable batteries found in most electronic devices such as cell phones, lap tops, power tools, etc. It is now NY state law that any retailer or distributor who sells any type of new rechargeable battery must provide a recycling outlet to their customer’s to stay in compliance. Our exclusive licensing rights to this program give MYBRS the ability to keep NY businesses in full compliance with state laws. The law also requires household consumers to recycle rechargeable batteries which can be dropped off in numerous drop-off sites.

Will all battery recycling be done in the United States?

Yes, all batteries are recycled in the U.S. under guidelines set forth by local and state agencies. We never ship any material overseas.
